India’s Ministry of Finance is considering extending countervailing duties on stainless steel sheets imported from China for another five years. The measure applies to both cold-rolled and hot-rolled stainless steel products, with a tariff rate of 18.95%. The proposal was initially submitted by Jindal Stainless and Jindal Stainless (Hisar) and has already been approved by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
